Jacky’s Chow Mein
Jacky’s signature dish the Jacky's Chow Mein is a stir-fry with sesame seeds served with crispy chicken and spicy sweet chilli sauce and garnish with spring onions and coriander.
Please note dish contains: crustaceans, egg, fish, molluscs, nuts, peanuts, sesame seeds and soya.
Senior Chef at Golden Dragon Takeaway
"Why not taste my enthusiasm for music in my culinary skills?"
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Chef Jacky Chan came to the Golden Dragon to earn a living whilst studying at Swansea University. He started as a dish wisher and then kitchen assistance, but his enthusiasm, ethnic and the passion to succeed did not go un-notice from the owners of the Golden Dragon and invited Jacky to learn the fundamentals of the culinary skills in Chinese cuisine.
Within short period he grew from Junior Chef to become one of the current Senior Chefs at the Golden Dragon Takeaway.
Aside from the key qualities as a Chef, Jacky loves to sing and perform during several staff gatherings. In Hong Kong he was a runner up in singing contest before coming to the UK. His ability to sing and perform lead the owners of the Golden Dragon Takeaway to nominate him to star in this years X Factor TV advert with Just Eat.

In 2019, Jacky will be working with The Springboard Charity in the ambassador programme. This initiative designed equip Jacky skills and training required to enable Jackie to inspire young people to fill in the skills gaps lacking in the independent takeaway and restaurant sector.
With Jacky's culinary skills and experience the ambassador programme will enable Jacky lead young people, teach the know-how of Chinese culinary and equip the talent people to build a career in the takeaway and restaurant industry.
Throughout the year Jacky will be required to deliver three activities.
